About us

Welcome to the Willowbend Campground and to our family, we are Jay and Michelle Lamotte.

Nestled within the vibrant community of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, lies the Willowbend Campground. With a deep appreciation for family, a love for camping, and a strong connection to our community's rich history, and a hockey loving family, we have created a haven where all four elements intertwine harmoniously.

For us, family is at the heart of everything we do. With being parents of five boys they infuse our lives with boundless energy, laughter, and adventures. Recognizing the value of spending quality time together, we set out on a journey to create a space that would allow families like ours to create lasting memories in the great outdoors.

Enter the Willowbend Campground, a place where families can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, reconnect with nature, and forge deeper bonds with loved ones. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Maple Creek and surrounding areas such as; The Fort Walsh Historic Site and Cypress Hills including all its serene landscapes. The campground offers a range of camping options, from spacious RV sites to cozy tent spots, catering to every camping preference and ensuring an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

But the Willowbend Campground is more than just a place of relaxation and serenity; it is a reflection of Maple Creek's rich history and the vibrant sense of community that defines it. We have fallen in love with the beauty and welcoming feeling the Willowbend campground gives off! We want to create a welcoming home feeling with our visitors in order for them to experience deep appreciation for the area's past that have shaped our community today.

Consequently, visitors to the campground not only have the opportunity to camp amidst stunning natural surroundings but also to immerse themselves in the captivating history of Maple Creek and the surrounding areas of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. From local attractions to guided tours, guests can embark on a journey through time, discovering the stories and traditions that have shaped the town and its people.

For us and our family, the Willowbend Campground serves as a testament to our unwavering commitment to family, community, and the preservation of Maple Creek's history. By offering a place where families can build everlasting memories, connect with nature, and embrace the local heritage, we want to create a sanctuary that celebrates the unique character of both our campground and the beloved town it calls home.
